Located in Danbury, Connecticut, USA and Leeds in the United Kingdom, ComNet focuses on providing innovative communications networking solutions to the Security Market, Intelligent Transportation System Markets and Power Transportation and Distribution Market. The product line consists of fiber optic video, data and audio transmission products as well as a broad Fiber Optic, Wireless and Copper media Ethernet product line and designed from the start to set the standard for transmission products in the markets ComNet competes in.
ComNet emerged onto the market in 2008 led by former employees of International Fiber Systems. The ComNet team developed a completely new and updated line of fiber optic and hardened Ethernet products. ComNet officially announced our intention to market in June 2008. ComNet returns to the business ethics, customer support, engineering and quality that were characteristic of IFS prior to being sold to GE in 2003.
ComNet is currently comprised of many of the most talented former IFS and Fiber Options employees. That talent allows ComNet to perform at a higher level. Every engineer at ComNet has over 10 years experience designing complex fiber optic and electronic circuits. Our technical support and sales personnel have over 10 years experience working with complex networks, using all transmission technology.

Independently Tested – ComNet products are certified by an independent test laboratory to exceed the environmental requirements of NEMA TS-1/TS-2 and the CALTRANS Specification for Traffic Signal Control Equipment. These requirements include ambient operating temperature, mechanical shock, vibration, humidity with condensation, high-line/low-line voltage conditions and transient voltage protection.
Worldwide Operability – The ComNet Card Cage Rack System is equipped with a self-contained power supply that provides operation with any input voltage from 90 to 264 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Any possibility of ordering an incorrect power supply with the wrong operating voltage is completely eliminated.
Environmentally Hardened – ComNet products set the standard for reliability when installed in the most difficult operating environments. All ComNet equipment is designed to operate over the ambient temperature range of -40°C to +75°C.
Broad-Range Compatibility – ComNet video with serial data and data transmission products are transparent to data encoding allowing for transmission of all formats and protocols, so they’re designed for broad-range compatibility with major system manufacturers.

Our sales and warehouse facility in Europe meets the latest energy efficient building standards, and utilizes energy conservation features including motion-activated lighting, and a high efficiency HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) system.
